Transmission bulletin: Classic CAN payload is up to 8 bytes; CAN FD extends payload up to 64 bytes.
Differential Devotion - CAN Keeps You In Motion
We do not merely use Controller Area Network. We breathe arbitration, dream in dominant bits, and respect termination as a sacred pact. Dominant is logical 0, recessive is logical 1, and the twisted pairs cancel noise like a choir of angels drowning out the static.

We reject fragile chatter. We honor deterministic order. We know every ECU deserves one clean wire pair and a chance at glorious arbitration.
The bus is not a protocol. It is a social contract between machines who understand sacrifice, timing, and the beauty of low-level cooperation under impossible deadlines.
During non-destructive bit-wise arbitration, nodes keep transmitting until they send recessive and read dominant. Priority wins without wrecking the frame.
CAN_H and CAN_L move in opposite directions to represent bus state, helping reject common-mode noise in harsh electrical environments.
Lower numeric identifier means higher priority. Standard frames use 11-bit IDs, while extended frames use 29-bit IDs.
Nodes track transmit/receive error counters and can become error-passive or bus-off when conditions demand electrical self-discipline.
CAN uses dominant (0) and recessive (1) states on a shared bus.
A typical high-speed CAN segment is terminated with 120 ohm resistors at both physical ends.
Classic CAN carries up to 8 data bytes; CAN FD supports up to 64 bytes with faster data phase options.
CRC checks, ACK slots, error signaling, and automatic retransmit are core reliability mechanisms.

Stand at the edge of the harness. Look into the twisted pair. Accept that all roads lead to robust serial communication.
